Manulife Software Engineer interview experience

I started with an internal application and then went through two rounds of technical interview work, followed by a take-home assignment. The interviewers came across well and the process didn’t feel adversarial. Even when the tasks were demanding, it still felt like there were learning opportunities built in.

What stood out most was how tolerant they seemed to be toward new grads, especially given that the process was aimed at entry level roles. The whole thing felt supportive rather than intimidating, and I left with a better sense of what the bar looked like.
