Mahindra Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

IndiaPosted Nov 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I actually skipped the preliminary test and group discussion because I was eligible for a direct interview after receiving a passport through a Mahindra event.

That meant the process was shorter and more focused than the normal multi-round flow I’d heard about.

The final interview was pretty straightforward. They questioned me based on the area of interest I’d specified in my resume. Since it was a single step, there wasn’t a lot of padding—just a direct check of whether my stated interests matched what they wanted.

I didn’t get an offer, and honestly the biggest surprise was how little the process tried to probe beyond my resume interests. It felt quick, but that also made it easy for the decision to hinge entirely on that one conversation.
