San Diego, CAPosted Jun 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through what felt like a standard technical interview that was very heavy on Bayes theorem.

The main thread was statistics and probability concepts, and the session included both algorithm development discussion and a case study. It didn’t feel like a vague, open-ended conversation; it was anchored on whether I could reason cleanly under probabilistic thinking.

As the interview progressed, the difficulty became pretty clear: it wasn’t just testing familiarity—it was testing depth of understanding. That said, I didn’t think it was impossible. If I had a strong background in statistics and probability, the questions were very doable, and my preparation ended up carrying me through.
