In my Lyft interview, the questions were open-ended and focused on how I approached problems rather than trying to force a single correct answer.

What stood out was the emphasis on explaining my thought process and how I used data to inform decisions.

The interviewer behavior matched that framing—there wasn’t pressure to produce one magic solution, and they seemed more interested in how I reasoned through the situation. The overall process felt geared toward understanding my judgment, not just my final response.

I didn’t receive an offer. The reflection I had after was that the process depended heavily on clarity in communication and the ability to connect reasoning to evidence, and that was exactly what they were evaluating.
