My interview loop for Lyft felt much more specialized than the typical product manager process.

It was for an analytics/data group role, and the questions went very deep into analytical thinking—especially around statistics and statistical methods. The way the discussion progressed made it seem like they had a preferred way to reach the right conclusion, and I struggled with the sense that there wasn’t much room to explore alternate routes even when I could justify them.

The difficulty was high, and the format centered heavily on technical reasoning rather than broad PM framing. What disappointed me most wasn’t only the lack of an offer—it was how little feedback I received afterward.
