I had an initial call with the hiring manager where we went through my resume and focused on my most recent experience.

The conversation covered design principles and business tradeoffs, and it felt grounded and substantive.

After that, though, the process went silent. I followed up multiple times over the course of about a month, but I never got an update or next-step communication. Even though the call itself went well, the lack of closure was frustrating.

I didn’t receive an offer. The reflection that stayed with me was how much better the process would’ve felt with even a short message about what happened, regardless of the decision.
