My process had four interview stages, and the final engineering manager interview ended up being the most memorable.

The technical process itself wasn’t described as chaotic, but the manager round had a notably toxic tone.

I remember asking a question at the end and being met with a dismissive response about why the manager should answer. The difficulty was average, but that interaction colored everything.

I didn’t receive an offer. My reflection was that even if the technical evaluation is fair, the way leadership engages can make the whole process feel unsafe and disrespectful.
