My first real step wasn’t just theory—it was an initial screening where I had to build a working web application to shorten a URL, and I also had to create a Docker image for the same thing.

After that, the technical interview focused on coding: I was given a medium-difficulty problem and had to solve it using C#.

The next round shifted into JavaScript questions, and that’s where I struggled enough that I didn’t clear the interview. That whole journey felt very hands-on at the start because the screening expected me to produce something working, not only talk through ideas. Even though the first step gave me a chance to show practical work, the JavaScript round was the deciding gap, and I ended up not moving forward.
