Lowe's Home Improvement Software Engineer interview experience

The difficult part wasn’t just one topic—it was the breadth. I worked through questions that emphasized Java collections and core Java fundamentals, and we also touched microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL, and how those concepts connect end to end. Jenkins pipelines and cloud-related deployment ideas came up too, so it wasn’t only “write code,” it was about thinking through how systems behave when they’re built and deployed.

The overall flow matched that same pattern of escalating technical evaluation. I went through multiple rounds—enough that it felt like a real filter.
