Kirkland, WAPosted Mar 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I was contacted by a recruiter and told there was an opportunity to interview for a senior UI developer position at Lowe’s Innovation Labs, with a goal of adding a few software engineers to the team.

My first round was with the head of a software team. There was a brief behavioral part, and then I did coding in TypeScript on a browser-based setup. One problem involved string manipulation, and another asked about arranging seating in a 2D array using a set of rules.

I moved forward, but scheduling dragged for a long stretch—I wasn’t able to get round two scheduled until about two months later. In that second round, another team leader asked me to complete a feature in React in the same coding environment. I finished the task, but I was later notified that I wouldn’t move forward.
