My interview jumped straight into an image-processing themed track.

I was asked a few technical questions to check my baseline knowledge, then I had to prepare and deliver a presentation on an image processing topic of my choice. The topic could come from school or research, so I leaned on what I’d already been working with.

The presentation format was the biggest shift for me: I had to organize my thinking and explain it clearly rather than just answer discrete questions. Once that was done, the overall vibe stayed focused on understanding how I reason through the material.

It was a noticeably harder interview experience than the purely behavioral rounds
