Sunnyvale, CAPosted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an SDE role at LinkedIn and the process itself felt well organized, with recruiters who were responsive throughout.

The communication side was smooth and I never felt stuck without updates.

Where it caught me off guard was the technical difficulty. The technical rounds were significantly more challenging than I’d expected, and it pushed me toward deeper problem-solving rather than surface-level solutions. Even though I didn’t get the outcome I wanted, it still felt valuable because it forced me to go deep and test the limits of what I knew.

In the end, I didn’t receive an offer, but the experience left me with a clearer sense of the bar they were holding and how much depth they expect from an SDE.
