Santa Clara, CAPosted Jan 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview started with a HackerRank assessment and then moved into an HM call that included both behavioral and technical parts.

The behavioral side felt fine, but the technical round caught me off guard because the interviewer didn’t seem to understand time complexity as I expected. He pushed me toward an O(n^2) approach for something that could be solved in linear time, and that mismatch threw me off while I was trying to land on the right optimization level.

Overall it wasn’t a disaster, but that specific disagreement about complexity made the technical part feel harder than it otherwise would’ve been. I didn’t end up getting the offer.
