LinkedIn Software Engineer interview experience

The first was the valid parenthesis question, and the second was a variant of letter combinations of a phone number.

The call didn’t feel like a marathon, but the two problems were different enough that I had to reset my thinking quickly and explain my approach clearly as I went. I had to keep track of constraints and handle the typical edge cases that come up with those classic problem patterns.

I didn’t end up with an offer, but the round itself was straightforward in structure and gave me a clear sense of what they expected at the start of the process—competence with core coding
