For this role, the interview ended up being almost entirely behavioral, even though I could still bring in my technical strengths if I wanted to.

The recruiting approach also felt lightweight: they requested online applications and then the process largely consisted of a phone interview.

On the call, the questions were more about how I’d framed my experience than about deep technical problem-solving. I talked through my biggest technical achievement and what my day-to-day in classes looked like. The whole thing felt more like an initial screen of fit than a test of how quickly I could code or reason through algorithms. I didn’t get far beyond that stage, though the process still made it clear they were trying to cover the basics
