One of my interviews was the opposite of the calm, structured feel I’d expected.

The interviewer came across as rude and unprofessional, and it was weird because she didn’t even start by asking about my experience.

Instead, she jumped straight into highly tailored questions that felt like they were built around a specific answer she had in mind. It created a tense dynamic where I wasn’t sure whether I was being evaluated for my reasoning or for how closely I matched what she expected.

The pressure then compounded with how the interview was run. Even in shorter, efficiency-focused formats, the time limits meant I had to think and respond quickly with precise wording.
