Johnson Controls Account Executive interview experience

My first round with HR/recruiting felt especially flat.

The person conducting it was dry and didn’t show much energy when discussing the company or the role, and they didn’t come on camera. It made the call feel more like a checkbox than an actual conversation.

Because that initial screen set the tone, it was hard to get a sense of what the company really cared about beyond process mechanics. I answered the questions that came up, but the interaction didn’t feel engaging.

I didn’t end up with an offer. Looking back, the lack of enthusiasm and the overall demeanor were what made the experience feel off compared to other interviews I’ve had.
