John Deere Software Engineer interview experience

There was a tour of the factory and the surrounding town, which made the whole process feel more grounded than a purely virtual interview.

After the tour, I sat through two panel interviews. The split was clearly framed as a blend: roughly 30% technical and 70% personal. That balance shaped how I talked—most of my attention went into explaining how I work with people and how I approach day-to-day collaboration, while still covering enough technical substance to show I could contribute.

Even with the mixed emphasis, it felt like a serious, deliberate interview day rather than a quick screen.
