JCPenney Account Executive interview experience

Colorado Springs, COPosted Aug 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview experience didn’t match the relaxed tone I expected.

The interviewer came across as condescending and outright rude, and the questions felt like they weren’t really tied to the job I was interviewing for. I got the impression it was meant to trip me up with “trick” questions instead of evaluating whether I could do the work.

It was difficult to stay engaged because it felt like a waste of time. Even when I tried to respond, the overall attitude made the conversation drag rather than flow. I didn’t get the offer, and afterward I mostly felt frustrated that the process turned personal instead of professional.
