Jane Street Software Engineer interview experience

I made it through about half of the planned rounds—two out of four—when the recruiter stepped in after the lunch break and said they were ending the day.

Interviewers had been going through their parts up to that point, but the cut ended things abruptly, which was honestly a bit jarring after spending the morning locked in.

I didn’t end up with an offer. I left feeling like I’d gotten far enough to understand the bar, but the early termination made the final impression more about timing and process flow than about a clean, end-to-end assessment.
