After I applied, I was sent a HackerRank challenge with four coding questions and a short deadline.

The format was timed—90 minutes to complete everything via the link—and the whole thing was basically about getting correct solutions within that window.

The first time I tried it, the challenge was broken for my main language, and I spent about 15 minutes wrestling with the setup before I switched to my secondary language to get unstuck. Once I had the problem running properly, I was able to finish the questions and then I waited for the result. A couple days later they let me know how it turned out, and it ended there—no deeper feedback, just the usual pass/fail feeling.
