My first interview was a phone conversation, and I felt it went really well.

The issue was what happened afterward: it took them about a month before I was told they weren’t interested.

That delay made the whole experience feel unprofessional, especially because the conversation itself had felt positive. By the time I heard back, it felt like there was no urgency or respect for how long people have to keep their schedules open.

I didn’t get the role. What I carried away was that even good interviews can turn sour when the follow-up is so slow.
