I was drawn back to Infineon because of how the environment used to feel to me, but the process ended up feeling complicated and a bit demoralizing.

In the conversations, the manager side was positive and we discussed my prior responsibilities, how the work model had changed, and what long-term growth could look like for the role. That part felt constructive.

At the same time, the outcome around compensation and future room to grow didn’t match what I expected. After seeing layoffs and hearing that there wasn’t much space for growth—especially in the U.S.—I started to question the decision more. The offer process also left a bad taste: the offer was delivered through an unusual SMS path tied to a personal number, which was honestly weird
