IBM Software Engineer interview experience

In Dublin, I went through an OA and then had to fill out a questionnaire/form before I learned the position details.

What caught me off guard was that after completing the steps, I was informed the role was only for a placement and not a summer internship. The job posting hadn’t made that clear upfront, and it felt like I was being evaluated under one assumption and then told it was something else.

I ended up not progressing to the next stage. The questions themselves didn’t feel like the issue; the surprise about the role scope was what made the experience feel misaligned and confusing.
