IBM Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Positive

I went through the Associate Software Engineer process that started with an online assessment and then moved into an interview.

The OA had two medium-style array/string questions, and it was followed by a live interview that felt like a mix of straightforward coding plus questions about projects. There was also a bit of SQL, and the round included a small set of situational HR questions.

Overall, the pace felt fairly standard for the program: assessment first, interview right after, and then the process concluded with me getting an offer. What stood out to me was how the interview wasn’t purely coding—SQL, project discussion, and people-focused prompts were all blended together, so I had to switch gears a few times.
