IBM Software Engineer interview experience

The interviewer was filling in for someone and I couldn’t really see their full face, which made it harder to read the room. The questions drifted into thinking-style areas—things like whether I knew what hard work, critical thinking, and creative thinking meant—so it wasn’t strictly technical.

Later, I saw a much smoother version of the “easy” format: an OA with three basic leetcode-style questions, followed by a video interview that focused on simple web design topics like HTTP methods. That round-and-OA shape took under two hours total, and then the offer decision came weeks after.
