My interview was basically a single in-person step at their office, with multiple candidates in the room.

I was assigned tasks to work through as a team, then I had to present my solution to the IBM team afterward.

Because it was structured around collaboration and communication, it didn’t feel like a typical one-person technical interrogation. I could sense they cared about how I contributed while working with others, and then how clearly I could explain the result when it was time to present.

I ended up receiving an offer. Looking back, the biggest surprise was how much the process leaned into teamwork and presentation rather than just coding ability.
