My interview was about 30 minutes long and mostly leaned on behavioral questions.

We walked through my work history and talked about what I could expect from the internship experience, and the conversation flowed in a straightforward way. Overall, the experience felt good—nothing felt chaotic or hostile—but it also didn’t dig much into technical depth.

By the end, I realized we hadn’t covered many technical questions at all, and that left me wanting a bit more opportunity to show how I think through software problems. I didn’t end up receiving an offer, and I left with the impression that the interview was focused on general background more than assessing engineering
