HubSpot Software Engineer interview experience

That long stretch on its own stood out because it wasn’t just a quick solve-and-submit—there was enough work that I had to organize my thinking and clearly explain what I built.

The difficulty was labeled easy in my notes, but even then, the time commitment felt real. Finishing it and turning in documentation gave me a sense of completeness, like I’d communicated both the implementation and the intent. I didn’t see an offer tied to this step, though, so the experience ultimately read as a serious take-home effort rather than a fast path to a final decision.
