Cambridge, MAPosted Nov 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My experience started with an email prompt to take an online assessment after applying, and the process quickly became very asynchronous.

I worked through the coding portion myself, but there was no meaningful interaction with a recruiter during the technical step—just the assessment and then an automated decision after.

In the end, I didn’t move forward, and the rejection timing felt abrupt and impersonal. In one scenario I received a message saying I wouldn’t be moving on to the next steps because of the competitive applicant pool, and in another I simply failed to complete the assessment on time and never got human feedback to understand what went wrong.

What stood out was how little humanity was built into the first
