Honeywell Software Engineer interview experience

The questions were described to me as easy to medium leetcode-style problems, but the topics they dug into were broad: Java basics and Spring, with a lot of focus on multithreading.

I ended up talking through specifics like mutexes, semaphores, ConcurrentHashMap versus HashMap, and even garbage collection. One question that stood out was about how Streams API handles lazy evaluation, which made me slow down and be precise. Overall, the difficulty felt centered on understanding concurrency and runtime behavior rather than only writing straightforward code.
