I found the opportunity through word of mouth, and I honestly thought the process was easy.

A lot of that came from how helpful the engineers around me were—senior people were open and straightforward about their opinions, and the conversations felt honest instead of overly scripted.

I ended up being interviewed by two people, and the overall environment gave me confidence that I’d be supported once I joined. The biggest thing that stuck with me was the mix of clarity and helpfulness from the team, which made the interview feel less like a hurdle and more like a real look at the work culture.
