Houston, TXPosted Jul 2018 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My initial screening started with a math test made up of word problems that I had to translate algebraically to solve.

Then I did a short phone interview, and after that I moved into a technical phone interview.

The first phone interview felt more personable, but the technical follow-up interview felt very scripted and robotic. The technical questions centered on algorithms and data structures, and I answered accurately, even though it was rushed. At the end of the day, I didn’t move forward. Looking back, it felt like they valued certain backgrounds strongly, and the whole process also felt a bit less friendly because their expectations weren’t aligned with my situation.
