HCSS Software Engineer interview experience

I scored what they were looking for, and based on that I expected I’d be moving into the next stage. Instead, I got a rejection email later, which didn’t match what the score implied.

The questions themselves felt basic and aligned with the requirements for the role, so the denial was hard to reconcile. I walked away feeling like the screening wasn’t giving much signal beyond whether I met the minimal bar.

My reflection was that the process felt mechanically run: the test outcome didn’t translate into an interview, even though the difficulty seemed appropriate for the position.
