Buffalo, NYPosted Jun 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through an informal set of interviews for a Software Engineer/co-op style role that emphasized conversations about my background, with limited technical pressure.

Team-wide interview circulation / application paperwork — I filled out an application that requested salary history and was circulated among senior staff; the decision maker took time to finalize.
Casual co-op conversation — I had a relaxed chat about my experience, what I’d do during the co-op term, and my salary expectations.
Manager meetings (general, easy) — I met managers from different departments; the interviews were very general and felt easy, though the role scope was a bit unclear. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that these rounds rewarded communication
