Hatch Systems Engineer interview experience

Winnipeg, MBPosted Feb 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for Hatch’s Software Engineer role with a short, efficient schedule and mostly light technical/fit discussion, and it moved quickly toward an offer.

Engineering manager + senior engineer interview — I focused on relevant experience and skills; most questions centered on what I had done and whether I’d fit the team.
HR / coordination call — I had limited early communication and then an organized scheduling step for the next round.
Offer timeline — I was contacted very quickly after interviewing and then waited about a week for the official paperwork. Outcome: I received an offer, and the biggest takeaway was how much the process prioritized fit and prior experience over deep technical hurdles.
