A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn and I started by asking about base salary.

When she shared a range, it made me more interested in moving forward. But when it came time to do the phone screen, she never showed up, and the whole process just stalled immediately.

That experience left me feeling like coordination and follow-through weren’t there, especially after I’d already engaged on compensation. I didn’t get beyond that missed screen, and it completely undercut my interest.
