I went into the process expecting typical software interview topics, but the conversations strongly emphasized industry knowledge and general problem-solving about operations.

Technical conversation (informal panel-style) — I was asked what I was leaning toward (e.g., reservoir vs. well completion vs. production systems) and to explain petroleum engineering concepts like upstream.
Structured evaluation mix — I was told the interview includes behavioral questions, technical assessment(s), and discussion of prior experience and project management skills.

Outcome: I didn’t move forward, but the process felt “average” in difficulty and centered on explaining my understanding clearly.
