Halliburton Software Engineer interview experience

Houston, TXPosted Sep 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I experienced a disorganized in-person process after being flown to headquarters, and it ended quickly when my background didn’t match their needs.

Scheduling + reschedule — They told me the wrong interview timeslot initially, then rescheduled.
Travel to HQ — I was flown to Houston for an in-person interview.
Early rejection of fit — After arriving, I was told they wouldn’t hire chemical engineers for the job, and the rest of the day became trivial. Outcome: Not selected; the mismatch and disorganization made the process feel unfair.
