My first screen went okay, but the interview experience quickly felt off.

The person running the initial conversation seemed like she was working from something rehearsed instead of engaging in a real dialogue about my interest and experience. Then my next call was on Teams and it was already unprofessional in the details: she was late, didn’t join video, and during the conversation she microwaved her lunch and appeared to be handling other instant messages too.

I left that call feeling like I had learned very little about the firm or the role, and it didn’t feel respectful of my time or attention. Because of that, I chose not to continue to the next interview.
