Groupon Software Engineer interview experience

Hard

Negative

United StatesPosted Feb 2018 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process started with a 45-minute first round, then moved into final rounds that lasted two hours back-to-back.

One of the interviewers came across as harsh, and that honestly threw me off enough that I wasn’t able to finish the coding. The other interviewer was more reasonable, and I did well there.

Even with a better performance in the second part, I still ended up failing overall. Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t only the technical difficulty—it was how much the tone of one interviewer affected my ability to keep going under pressure.
