My first step was a recruiter screen that lasted about 30 minutes, followed by a 45-minute technical phone screen that felt like a LeetCode-style problem.

The interviewer was easy to talk to and even offered hints when I got stuck, so the interaction wasn’t hostile.

Still, I wasn’t able to finish the problem by the end of the session. It was the kind of evaluation where the conversation could stay friendly, but time and completeness mattered a lot. After that technical screen, I didn’t move forward.

Overall, I left with the impression that I was close in terms of communication, but not close enough on completion. The biggest surprise was how much finishing the full solution mattered, even when the interviewer was willing to guide me along.
