San Francisco, CAPosted Nov 2017 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My first real touchpoint was an HR phone screen that actually felt good and professional.

After that, I was scheduled for a technical screen with a senior engineer using GoToMeeting. The whole call was supposed to last about 45 minutes, but the coding part started right at the last fifteen minutes.

The tool itself caused problems during screen sharing—the browser slowed down my computer so much that coding on CodePen became basically impossible. The interviewer was quiet and unenthusiastic, and I was even told not to explain my thought process out loud. The interview ran over time, which only made the experience feel worse.

By the end, I had a terrible impression of the company.
