GoTo Software Engineer interview experience

Because I already had strong prior experience, they didn’t ask me to do any technical test or coding. The whole thing lasted about an hour and was run by engineers.

It felt friendly throughout. I was mostly talking through my background and how I worked, and the conversations stayed grounded in real collaboration and engineering context rather than trying to catch me on a specific problem. Even though there wasn’t much to technically demonstrate, the tone wasn’t hostile—just an evaluation of fit and how I think.
