I went through a networking-leaning technical path covering fundamentals of network and traffic behavior, plus culture and team-fit.

Phone screen + competency — I started with a phone screen and competency-based questions.
Coding interview + technical networking — I then faced a technical coding-style interview and a separate networking discussion covering IP, routing, traffic engineering, and QoS.
Hiring manager/team fit — A final conversation checked team alignment and culture fit. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that breadth across networking fundamentals mattered as much as coding.
