I started with a typical Bay Area-style sequence: an HR call with the recruiter about the role and team, then a technical screen, and then multiple technical interviews.

In my case, the company followed up with three technical screens total—some more hands-on, and one that leaned more conversational.

The format felt efficient and pretty predictable, and I appreciated that the process didn’t drag. After the technical discussions, there wasn’t much ambiguity about timing or expectations, and I got quick feedback after each stage. One of the later touches was a call with engineering leadership, which made the loop feel complete rather than purely technical.

Even though I was rejected, the experience was still enjoyable because the conversations were fluid
