I had a confusing, branchy experience where early stages were positive or promising, but the process changed direction.

Initial interview experience — one engineer interaction early on felt hostile and made it clear I might not fit with that team.
HR screen and rescheduling issues — in another path, the HR phone screen got rescheduled multiple times (even on the same day) and the interviewer joined late.
Tech screen question — the tech part covered database basics.
Role mismatch / reroute — I was told they had a higher role available and initially planned to apply me there, but later changed direction again. Outcome: No offer; the takeaway was that team fit and role routing
