San Francisco, CAPosted Nov 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a fairly standard Glassdoor loop in late 2019, with extra focus on culture fit and an uncomfortable hiring-manager moment.

Recruiter screen — First conversation emphasized culture fit and my ability to answer culture-focused questions.
Phone interview — Continued the culture-fit style of discussion.
Onsite (5–round day) — I had 2 coding rounds and 3 behavior rounds.
Onsite follow-up behavior — The hiring manager kept pushing for the names of previous managers and when I worked with them, even after I felt uncomfortable sharing that. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the process felt normal on paper but the manager’s line of questioning stood out.
