Georgia-Pacific Software Engineer interview experience

My interview was behavioral and felt very lightweight.

It had a sort of softball tone, and the main expectation was that I’d talk well and connect my answers back to real experiences I’d had. The emphasis was on being able to explain concrete situations, not on proving anything with technical depth.

I didn’t feel like the process cared intensely about every nuance of my background. Instead, it leaned toward a general communication and relatability check.

Even with that easy feel, I still ended up not receiving an offer. The overall experience was comfortable enough that it didn’t leave me stressed, but it also didn’t feel particularly rigorous.
