I went through an AE process where I had to do substantial company research and then apply it in recruiter-led and leadership conversations.

Recruiter screen — helpful guidance on what to expect and reminders to use STAR.
Video round(s) with HR — I was asked to describe my career pathway, be precise and concise, and prepare answers about Gartner.
Role/lead skills assessment — another call focused on evaluating lead skills.
Final call with VP/regional sales — a senior interview to test how I’d operate at the AE level. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer—the takeaway is that strong prep for both “why Gartner” and STAR-based behaviors is essential.
